MetaAOE
Privacy Policy
Effective date: 12 October 2026
1. Who operates this service
The data controller for MetaAOE is Bartosz Urban, Wrocław, Poland. For privacy questions or requests, contact contact@metaaoe.com.
2. Information the service handles
When you create or use an account, Clerk provides authentication and account-management services. Depending on how you sign in and which profile fields you provide, this can involve account identifiers, email address, name, and authentication-related information. MetaAOE does not receive your sign-in password.
If you save decks, MetaAOE stores the deck name, civilization, selected cards, account identifier, creation time, and whether you have made the deck public. Public decks can be viewed by other visitors; private decks are associated with your account.
The hosting provider may process technical request and security information to operate and protect the service. Vercel Analytics is enabled in production to provide site-usage analytics.
3. How we use information and our legal bases
| Purpose | Legal basis (GDPR) |
|---|---|
| Creating accounts, signing you in, and saving and displaying decks | Article 6(1)(b) GDPR — performance of a contract |
| Securing the service, preventing abuse, and diagnosing issues | Article 6(1)(f) GDPR — legitimate interests |

Providing your data is voluntary, but it is necessary to create an account and save decks. You can browse the public parts of the site without signing in.
We do not make decisions about you based solely on automated processing, including profiling.
4. Providers and disclosures
MetaAOE uses Clerk for authentication, Cloudflare for hosting and database services, Vercel Analytics for production analytics, and Flotiq as a source of editorial content. These providers process information as needed to provide their services.
We may also disclose information where required by law or where necessary to protect the service, its users, or another person.
5. Cookies and similar technologies
Authentication and security features (Clerk, Cloudflare) may use cookies or similar technologies that are strictly necessary to operate the service, for example to keep you signed in. These do not require your consent.
6. Retention and your choices
Saved decks are retained while associated with your account or until you delete them. You can delete your decks from your account. Service providers may retain technical and security logs or backups for periods determined by their services and settings.
7. Children
MetaAOE is not intended for people under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 16. If we learn that an account belongs to someone under that age, we will delete it. If you believe a child has created an account, contact contact@metaaoe.com.
8. Your rights
To request access, correction, erasure, or account deletion, or to exercise your other data protection rights, contact contact@metaaoe.com. Depending on the circumstances, you may have the right to access, rectify, or erase your personal data, restrict or object to processing based on legitimate interests, and receive your data in a portable format.
You may also lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority, in particular in the EU country where you live or work. In Poland, this is the President of the Personal Data Protection Office (UODO), ul. Stawki 2, 00-193 Warsaw.

We may update this policy when the service or our data practices change. The current version is always available on this page with its effective date: 12 October 2026. We will notify you of material changes by posting a notice on this site.
